Deliver sustainable, high-performance buildings
OpenBuildings Designer is a multidiscipline building information modeling (BIM) software that streamlines the work among architects and electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers. You can design, model, analyze, manage, and construct buildings of any size, form, and complexity with information-rich models. Using a federated data approach to modeling and drawing management will allow you and your team members to work on any size models simultaneously, regardless of stakeholder location.
Take advantage of BIM
OpenBuildings Designer offers BIM advancements that enable you to deliver buildings faster and with greater confidence. This comprehensive platform features a fully immersive 3D modeling environment, integrating information across multiple disciplines, companies, and project phases. By utilizing OpenBuildings Designer, you can enhance your project delivery and manage design information more effectively throughout the entire project lifecycle. With its powerful analysis capabilities, you gain a deeper understanding of the data-rich digital representation of your building, helping you to complete projects on time and within budget. Additionally, you can explore design options, conduct thorough analyses, and communicate design intent more effectively.
Increase collaboration among disciplines
Collaborate more efficiently in a project environment using a shared library of design components, capabilities, workflows, and production standards. Integrate information from various formats and share models and drawings across geographically dispersed teams without compromising discipline or accountability. Keep stakeholders informed with renderings and movies using built-in visualization features, making it easier to evaluate materials and communicate designs in a way that brings ideas to life.
Efficiently explore design alternatives and address real-life design scenarios
Model a wide range of buildings and infrastructure, including commercial, industrial, transportation, education, and government buildings, as well as bridges and tunnels. Built-in clash detection streamlines the coordination of building systems, ensuring efficient integration. OpenBuildings GenerativeComponents, a powerful companion feature for computational design, enables you to quickly evaluate multiple design approaches and options, enhancing overall quality. Embedding design intent with expressions and constraint-driven geometry minimizes repetitive modeling tasks. Additionally, OpenBuildings Energy Simulator, an integrated energy analysis module, allows you to predict the performance impact of changes, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.
Design rail and metro stations
OpenBuildings Station Designer, an essential companion feature for rail and metro station projects, facilitates the design of stations of any shape, size, or complexity. It offers advanced capabilities for defining functional spaces and integrating essential components, ensuring that every aspect of the station is meticulously planned and executed. This power feature enables designers to create detailed and accurate layouts, incorporating passenger flow management, accessibility features, and structural elements, to meet the unique demands of modern transit infrastructure.
Streamline design and documentation to comply with German building standards
OpenBuildings Speedikon, a robust building design and documentation application, integrates design, drawings, reports, and data to meet German building standards. It features advanced view filter technology for high-quality representations of precise floor plans, sections, and elevations. The application offers options for industrial and infrastructure design, including truss builders, steel structures, doors, skylights, and a Steel Detailing Neutral File (SDNF) interface. It also includes a specialized DIN dataset calibrated to adhere to Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) and Contract Procedure for Building Works or Vergabe- und Vertragsordnung für Bauleistungen (VOB) standards. OpenBuildings Speedikon is not available for individual purchase. It is included with the purchase of OpenBuildings Designer.
