Blyncsy’s platform can collect, analyze and synthesize data in near real-time, collected from millions of vehicles already driving the roads today. We can detect and inspect over 40 roadway issues today, from potholes and paint lines to guardrail damage, malfunctioning street lights, debris detection, sign detection and MUTCD classification, and more, and often within 60 seconds of receiving an image. This real-time view of a transportation agency’s infrastructure allows them to respond to road issues more quickly, making simple repairs to improve safety, keep traffic flowing, and reduce costs.
Data is provided to the client through an open API connection as a WFS/WMS link or raw data table, which can be ingested into the client’s existing Maintenance Management System (MMS). By delivering the data to the client as an additional layer on top of their existing software, Blyncsy allows agencies to continue using the platform and systems with which they are familiar, increasing usage and automating certain options such as generating work orders or visualizing problem areas to prioritize repairs.
One of the most useful capabilities Blyncsy provides is the remote monitoring of work zones. By collecting and analyzing imagery from dash cameras in vehicles traveling through work zones each day, Blyncsy can identify cones and barrels, assess whether work zones are active or not, if travel lanes are being blocked, and if all LED sign boards are working properly. This allows agencies to compare work zone conditions according to plans, ensure that all safety assets are properly placed, and identify if traffic is being impacted unnecessarily, all without the need for crews to drive to and from the work zones to conduct these activities.
In Q4 2025, Blyncsy will add the ability to incorporate data from the global Google Street View database, enabling access to historical road data. This new data set provides the ability to assess changes in road conditions over time, creating a high-resolution base map from which our dash camera imagery can build a comprehensive picture of infrastructure conditions. This implementation of Google Street View will be critical for agencies that deal with natural disasters; now Blyncsy can provide a detailed assessment of damage from wildfires, hurricanes, tornados or any other disaster. By automating this post-disaster inspection, local governments and emergency response agencies can focus their efforts on critical repair work instead of looking for damage, while also accelerating access to emergency funding.
